As Howard Stern celebrates his second year on Sirius satellite radio, WYSP 94.1-FM, the Philly station that fell apart after his departure continues to try to pick up the pieces as it announced more changes to its new all-rock lineup.

Jennifer Reed will be the new afternoon drive host (3 p.m. – 7 p.m.) and Gordon will take over nights (7 p.m. – 11 p.m.)  They join morning drive host Kidd Chris and midday DJ Spike.

Some of the personalities who have come and gone on ‘YSP since Stern left include David Lee Roth, Opie and Anthony, and Barsky.

The station switched from talk to rock a couple of months.

Good old Channel 12 is rocking out, as the WHYY-produced “The Clash Live: Revolution Rock” premieres January 24 and will air on PBS stations across the country beginning in March. The Broadcast Pioneers “Sports Spectacular” luncheon with Bill Campbell, John Clark, Howard Eskin, Scott Franzke, Vince Papale, and (pause) Larry Mendte takes place today (Wednesday) at the Bala Country Club at noon. Joe Pellegrino moderates.  So why is newsman Mendte part of this?  Mendte began his career as a sportscaster.

The biggest thing to hit Broomall, PA since, ever, happens Saturday night when Danny Bonaduce headlines the celebrity boxing match at The Marple Sports Arena. Bonaduce will fight “Justice” of Wired 96.5-FM.  Also, NBC10’s Vai Sikahema will battle Dave Cruise of Ben 95.7-FM in “The Battle of the Air Waves.” There will be a total of seven fights on the card. Bonaduce will talk up the fight on “10” Friday at 11 a.m. on NBC10.

CW57 “Wake Up News” weather anchor Christa Quinn was called up to the “big leagues,” when she appeared on sister station, CBS3 Saturday night.

It will be difficult to judge whether new meteorologist John Bolaris will improve the ratings of Fox29, as he arrives at the same time of “American Idol,” which always spikes the ratings for the station this time of year.  Bolaris’ debut last week was overshadowed by the news that Alycia Lane was released from her contract by CBS3.

There’s still no word from CBS3 about who will co-anchor with Larry Mendte at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. during February sweeps and beyond and whether Lane’s replacement will come from within or outside the station.
