|METEOROLOGIST SHEENA PARVEEN JOINS NBC 10 PHILADELPHIA|
|PHILADELPHIA, PA– December 12, 2011 – NBC 10 Philadelphia today announced that Sheena Parveen will be joining the station as a Meteorologist starting at the end of the month. Parveen will provide weather reporting for NBC 10 Philadelphia’s 11 AM newscast in addition to contributing to NBC 10 News at 4, 5, and 6 PM.Parveen joins Philadelphia’s veteran meteorology team comprised of Chief Meteorologist Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz and Meteorologists Bill Henley, Michelle Grossman and Dave Warren. Bringing a combined 50 years of experience, NBC 10’s five-person weather team is Philadelphia’s premier weather source for viewers in and around the Delaware Valley.

Most recently, Parveen was the lead forecaster and on-air Meteorologist for the Good Day Tampa Bay weekend morning show on WTVT, the FOX affiliate in Tampa. In addition to meteorology, Parveen reported throughout the week on environmental topics and hosted a pet adoption segment each Sunday morning with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Parveen began her career at WCTV as a Reporter and Meteorologist in Tallahassee, Florida.
A native of St. Petersburg, Parveen graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology and a Minor in Mathematics.
