6ABC Wins February Sweeps

6abc Action News — #1 in February!

(Philadelphia, PA) – Roll out the red carpet of ratings! If this was The Oscars, 6abc and Action News would walk away with the coveted golden statue! But the shining performance all month long may not surprise considering Channel 6 wins 98% of local news time periods (Household ratings, 2012). And 6abc is not only winning, but many of its programs emerged as star performers, boasting significant ratings growth and even a jump in audience shares. It’s worth noting that Action News at 11 with Jim Gardner, which consistently outperforms the competition, earned 33% more audience than the second place station (NBC10). Also worth noting regarding the late news landscape, 6abc is the only station in the market to increase its network lead-in audience at 11pm.
