Even though 950-AM is an ESPN station now, unfortunately it is not airing “The John Kincade Show,” which airs on ESPN Radio nationally on Sunday mornings from 7 a.m - 10 a.m.

Broomall, PA native Kincade, a graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School and Temple University co-hosts “The Buck and Kincade” show with former University of Georgia quarterback Buck Belue weekdays from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Atlanta’s 680 “The Fan.”

Instead, during that time, 950-AM airs paid programming.

ESPN baseball writer Jayson Stark will appear on Jody McDonald’s show on ESPN 950 every Monday at 9:30 a.m. 

He can also be heard on the “Mike and Mike” show every Tuesday at 8:20 a.m.

We are hearing that WIP’s Anthony Gargano, who is co-hosting the 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. shift with Howard Eskin this week, will return to his normal 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. shift Monday, where he’ll work with new co-host Glen Macnow.

Former Channel 6 medical reporter and WPHT 1210-AM talk show host Susanne LaFrankie will be graduating in May from La Salle University with a Master’s Degree in Professional Communication.

LaFrankie is a partner in the media consulting company BrowningLaFrankie, and teaches on occasion at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

CBS, which laid off employees at television stations in other markets such as Miami and Chicago, got around to Philadelphia today, as 11 positions in sales, news, and other departments were eliminated.  Some employees are being offered early retirement.

CBS Radio eliminated a dozen jobs at the Philadelphia CBS stations including KYW 1060-AM last month.

There are around 325 full-time employees at CBS3 and CW57.

A CBS3 spokesperson said that the station does not comment on personnel matters.

This comes a day after Fox29 let go of four positions.

Industry sources say that NBC10 offered buyout packages to employees a few months ago.  

Glen Macnow announced on the air today that he will be returning to mid-days and Ike Reese will take over his night-time slot on WIP.

Macnow, who has spent most of his 14 years at WIP in the mid-day slot, was moved to evenings a few years ago.

He’ll replace Steve Martorano, who left the station this week.

As we reported earlier, the other current mid-day host Anthony Gargano, will co-host with afternoon drive host Howard Eskin Tuesday through Friday of next week.
