Former NBC10 Sports Anchor Derek Castillo Update

Former NBC10 weekend sports anchor Derek Castillo is leaving NBC5 in Dallas to spend more time with his wife and 8-year-old son.  In an interview with Ed Bark of Above the Fold, Castillo said he did not want to sign another contract to work weekends.

Seacrest vs. Dunkleman

Sunday night at 8 p.m., viewers can see the different fortunes of the original hosts of “American Idol,” Ryan Seacrest and Brian Dunkleman.

On Channel 17, viewers can see a much blonder Seacrest on “American Idol Rewind.”

On VH1, Dunkleman is part of the latest group of has-beens on “Celebrity Fit Club.”

After hosting the first season of “A.I.,” in what has to be one of the worst career choices in show business history, Dunkleman left the show.

Meanwhile, Seacrest has become the Dick Clark of the millenium.

Former Channel 6 medical reporter and WPHT 1210-AM talk show host Susanne LaFrankie will be graduating in May from La Salle University with a Master’s Degree in Professional Communication.

LaFrankie is a partner in the media consulting company BrowningLaFrankie, and teaches on occasion at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Former CBS3 Reporter Tamsen Fadal Moving from NYC’s CBS2 to CW11

According to TV Spy, former CBS3 reporter Tamsen Fadal is moving from New York’s CBS2 to CW11.  Fadal will work on the morning news as a reporter with former NBC10 personality Tiffany McElroy.

McElroy and Fox29 meteorologist John Bolaris are the parents of a three-year-old daughter.

Mollywood from Hollywood Update

Former “Good Day Philadelphia” contributor “Mollywood from Hollywood,” Molly Mayock, who now works as a Hollywood producer, has a new show set to premiere on the National Geographic Channel, ”America’s Port.” The first episode airs April 6.
