Mitch Williams Joins MLB Network Rotation

Former Phillie Mitch Williams will become an analyst for the Major League Baseball Network, which launches in 50 million homes January 1. 

Williams talked baseball for Comcast SportsNet and WIP 610-AM last season.

No word yet if this means he’ll have to give up his Philadelphia jobs, but if he does, expect Ricky Bottalico to pick up his work on CSN.

Others on the new television network include Barry Larkin, Joe Magrane, and Harold Reynolds.

Williams becomes the second Philly broadcaster to get picked up by MLB.

The late John Marzano worked for before his untimely death in April of 2008.

I would guess MItch Williams might be able to still do Phillies Post Game Live but in a limited basis like Johnny Marz did when he joined As far as MLB Network goes, If yoiu are a Ccomast Costumer, You’ll get the MLB Network on channel 280 on Digital Cable. And a HD channel should be coming soon.
