Dr. Lori Goes National

Bucks County’s Dr. Lori, who has appeared on local television for years, is starring in the Discovery Channel series, Auction Kings, Tuesdays at 9 p.m.

Golden Globe TV Predictions

Here are my Golden Globe television choices:

Best drama series: American Horror Story, Boardwalk Empire, Boss, Game of Thrones, Homeland.

None – My favorite is The Good Wife on CBS

Best comedy series: Enlightened, Episodes, Glee, Modern Family and New Girl.

Once again, I wouldn’t choose any of the nominess – the show that makes me laugh the most is Family Guy on Fox.

Best actress in a comedy: Laura Dern, Enlightened; Zooey Deschanel, New Girl; Tina Fey, 30 Rock; Laura Linney, The Big C; Amy Poehler, Parks and Recreation.

I like Kristen Wiig on Saturday Night Live. And what about the requisite nominatino for Betty White in Hot in Cleveland?

Best actress in a drama: Claire Danes, Homeland; Mireille Enos, The Killing; Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife; Madeleine Stowe, Revenge; and Callie Thorne, Necessary Roughness.

I would love Madeleine Stowe of Revenge to win. This is my favorite new show. I also love Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria on Desperate Housewives.

Best actor in a comedy: Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock; David Duchovny, Californication; Johnny Galecki, The Big Bang Theory; Thomas Jane, Hung and Matt LeBlanc, Episodes.

Once again, I’d go with a Saturday Night Live person – crazy Bill Hader.

Best actor in a drama: Steve Buscemi, Boardwalk Empire; Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad; Kelsey Grammer, Boss; Jeremy Irons, The Borgias; and Damian Lewis, Homeland.

Frasier does drama as well as comedy.

Just Cancel DH Now

As Desperate Housewives continues to limp to its series finale, how about they save us the trouble and end it now instead of May?

That suggestion comes courtesy of my friend, Gary Guadagno, who knows way more about television than me!

Ruggles Out In AM on NBC10

We hear that Terry Ruggles is being replaced on the NBC10 weekday morning news with weekend morning anchor Stacey Stauffer.  Starting Monday, the new morning team will be Stauffer, Lori Wilson, Bill Henley, and Jillian Mele.  Ruggles is expected to continue as a reporter for Channel 10.

Sixers Great Start

With the great start of the Sixers, that means more people will be watching Post Game Live with John “Confederate Soldier” Nash.

Weather Authority Down Two

With the departures of John Bolaris and Sally Ann Mosey, Fox29’s Weather Authority is down to one full-time person, Sue Serio and two fill-ins Karen Thomas and Christa Quinn.  Wonder who will get the coveted lead meteorologist position?

No Mas Sophia Vergara

By quick count Sophia Vergara of Modern Family is a spokesperson for Diet Pepsi, Covergirl, Comcast, and Kmart.
