Philadelphia pastry chef, Dana Prophet will compete on the “Holiday Challenge: Cookies” episode of Food Rush on Live Well Network, Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.  Prophet is a graduate of Temple University and The Restaurant School at  Walnut Hill College.

What the NBC10-Comcast SportsNet partnership means

According to an NBC10 spokesperson, the merging of Comcast SportsNet and NBC10 sports means John Clark will take a position with CSN and will continue to be seen on NBC10 and Vai Sikahema will continue to anchor news and will occasionally do the big sports story of the day.

The spokesperson added that two sports producers are moving into news and a third is being let go.


Kathy Orr Gives Winter Forecast Tuesday


Philadelphia, November 18., 2013 – CBS 3 Chief Meteorologist Kathy Orr will reveal her Winter Weather Forecast tomorrow, Tuesday, November 19 on Eyewitness News at 11 p.m. The Philadelphia area has seen some monster snowstorms before the last two relatively quiet Winters. What does this Winter have in store? Orr will forecast total snow accumulation for the season, have an analysis of temperature averages by month and break down the factors that will influence the weather on tap for the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys and the Jersey shore.

Sports Special Programming

Philly CBS Stations to Raise Money for Philippines






 Philadelphia, November 13, 2013 – The CBS Local Media stations in Philadelphia – CBS 3, The CW Philly, KYW Newsradio 1060, 98.1 WOGL, SportsRadio 94WIP, CBS Sports Radio 610, Talk Radio 1210 WPHT along with and CBS Outdoor – are teaming up once again under the “Operation Brotherly Love” banner to use their combined voices for a good cause – to raise funds for the American Red Cross relief effort in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan and its massive destruction in the Philippines and Vietnam.

Throughout this Thursday, November 14, all of the stations, and several CBS Outdoor digital boards will be encouraging viewers and listeners to support the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund by donating on-line at or calling  1-800-GIVE-122 (1-800-448-3122).

Eyewitness News Anchors Chris May, Jessica Dean, Kathy Orr, Ukee Washington Erika von Tiehl and Katie Fehlinger will lead the effort on television. CBS RADIO personalities will also support the effort as well throughout the broadcast day.
