Roseanne Has Killed Roseanne

Roseanne just cannot get out of her own way. It was an easy decision for ABC to cancel the show after her horrible tweets, but in truth, after the first episode, the show got worse every week and ABC jumped the gun a little renewing it after only two episodes.

I wonder if the cable networks that air the older Roseanne reruns will pull them.

Mario Batali Has Killed The Chew

So ABC officially cancelled The Chew, a couple of weeks after firing co-host Mario Batali, who is accused of sexual harassment by multiple people.

So can we now say that ABC’s short-sighted move of cancelling the long-running soaps, All My Children and One Life to Live, was a big, fat flop?

I would love ABC to bring back one or both of them, but they’ve already announced they will air another hour of Good Morning America in the afternoon in the fall.

Brady Bunch Connection to Royal Wedding

Gigi Perreau who played the teacher that Greg had a crush on in the episode, The Undergraduate, was the real-life acting teacher of Meghan Markle.

Roseanne Thoughts

So after watching the finale of Roseanne, I realized I like everything in the re-boot except Roseanne (and Dan). I love Jackie, Becky, Darlene, and D.J., and the new generation of Conners is great.

But it is depressing watching them go through money issues, health problems, and even the basement flooding!

Roseanne returns with a 13-episode order in the fall.

Still on a Meghan and Harry High

So does anyone else think the huge ratings for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are due to the popularity of The Crown on Netflix? It’s what got me interested.

Here’s my summary of the telecast.

Nurse’s Ball Time

For you three other General Hospital fans out there, it is the best time of the year – Nurse’s Ball time!

It is great to see the actors show off their singing and dancing talents.

Tina Fey Returns to SNL

Upper Darby’s Tina Fey returns to host Saturday Night Live this week. When all is said and done, she may turn out to be the most successful Philadelphia entertainer in history. She has conquered television, Broadway, and movies.

Let’s Bring Back It’s Your Call with Lynn Doyle

There are dozens of nightly national talk shows on MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, but we don’t have any local ones.

Since re-boots are all rage, wouldn’t it be great to bring back It’s Your Call With Lynn Doyle.

We need a show that addresses local and national issues.

Geraldo Coming to Town

Geraldo Rivera will be appearing at the Media Theatre on June 5 at 7 PM to discuss his new book the Geraldo Show. WPHT’s Rich Zeoli hosts.

Tammie Jo Shults – Jen Aniston

Jennifer Aniston would be perfect to play pilot Tammie Jo Shults if they make a movie about the Southwest Airlines incident.
