2009 – Goodbye CN8, Hello Comcast Network

Judging from Day 1 of the new Comcast Network, it looks like it will be lots of paid programming and random sports, such as a Calgary-Colorado NHL game.

There’s a sampling of the programming with CN8 survivors, Arthur Fennell, Lynn Doyle, Larry Kane, and Robert Traynham at www.cn8.tv.

The Fennell and Doyle shows will air weekly instead of daily.

  1. Still a terrible looking product coming across in low-budget, low-def quality.

    Thumbs down.

At least that awful morning show is gone.

  2. Wacky Jck, could not agree more. I think Comcast needs to get a high def channel for the new Comcast Network. Specially, for sporting events.

  3. By the way, Laura, the NHL game that they were showing on the Comcast Netwrok was not Calgary- Colorado, but istead Calgary-Chicago, adn it was a repeat of their game on Sunday night.

  4. Thanks. I knew it was two “C” teams, but I couldn’t remember.

  5. I got my hopes up thining once CN8 was done i would be able to watch the flyers games that would of been put on there. Instead all they did was make a new channel out of it. Oh well verizon still the best.

  6. My Golden Globe Vote

CN8 was just awful save for Connie Colla. 6 should grab Connie for the weekend morning news now that Jess is gone. My Sunday morningas will never be the same, waiting the 10 seconds for Jessica to mess something up. You got to hand it to 6 for being so loyal, but man between her, Russell, etc. they keep a lot of bad folks.

  7. CN8, so long and fair well! The comcast company ripped up all of the local outlets from previous cable companies that provided local coverage, the cn8 experiment failed miserably and back then put a lot of good people out of work….now 7 or 8 years later they finally realized a regional channel will not work! I feel bad for the people who lost thier jobs, it’s a shame that the program that had so much of the demise of the CN8 is still around……..lets say her hubby had a lot to do with that! And shame on you arthur, consulting to comcast and putting yourself on the top bill??? Go figure?
