Forget Wolverine, The Lone Ranger and The Avengers. My favorite super heroes of the summer are the reporters of Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel on HBO.
The July edition featuring a Mary Carillo report on disgraced tennis player Bob Hewitt and a Soledad O’Brien story about alleged discrimination on a Los Angeles pro soccer team was excellent.

Randomly discovered this “Racket Radio” reunion and the segment where you all were talking about how poor the newscasting here in Philadelphia was dead on. I’ve been saying this stuff for months. Not involved in the radio/TV biz but am so glad other people agree w/ me.
